Larger format Flyer Bows, despite being made of lightweight carbon fiber, can still draw a large amount of energy. Our goal was to design a bow that reduced energy consumption and overall weight, but maximized strength and stability. Our unique I-BEAM foam core construction can achieve a 50% weight reduction and still perform under peak stresses. Only braided carbon fiber bows can produce these unique structures, and we offer this design for a large number of flyer bows from 1000 mm to 2000 mm.
I-BEAM orientation is crucial to maintain bow stiffness along the direction of centripetal force. We can even include wire rope edges to protect the hollow cores from potential wire breaks. We also offer different designs for Skip Stander rollers, including lightweight carbon fiber clamps and individual heat treated rollers.
